CMOS

Complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor, abbreviated as CMOS, is one of the LSI structure types used in most CPUs installed in recent personal computers due to the advantages including less power consumption and manufacture cost. It also means the image sensor using CMOS instead of CCD. The image sensor of CMOS, the CMOS sensor, can be manufactured in lower cost in comparison to CCD and is used in digital cameras, mobile phones and web cameras due to its high-speed readout performance and low power consumption.
